The NZ Lizards Database has now been released, linking Landcare species information and the DOC Atlas.
The NZ Lizards Database has now been released. http://nzlizards.landcareresearch.co.nz
This database provides a searchable online system with an extensive bibliography and species information, including high quality photographs. The project was funded by the Terrestrial & Freshwater Biodiversity Information System (TFBIS) Programme. The primary goal of the database is to 'empower people and organisations with knowledge for informed decision making'.
Have a look on the 'Species Synopses' for links to very detailed information and references, with a link under 'distribution' to the DOC Atlas.
